Jockey Box
May 11, 2009 - 3:48pm
I need my own jockey box. I'd like one very similar to the club one, but with enough room between the faucets for my tap handles.
Can anyone fill me in on the details of where the best prices are for the components?
Thanks!

How many taps do you want on it? I am know someone that has some cold plates for sell, if he hasn't already sold them.
You need to decide how many beers you want on tap at a time.
The coleman stainless steel ice chest looks really cool as a jockey box. You can easliy fit 6 taps on it with enough space for your taps.
I like about 4" between taps, this gives enough room for big tap handles. You may be able to get away with 3". I would also recommend putting a backing plate on the inside made out of aluminum, instead of steel.
I can help you out.

I'd like 4 faucets. Garry, please contact the guy for a cold plate. I love the idea of a stainless ice chest.
Portable bar, you say, Mike? I'm curious...

I have some designs in mind from my old days when I designed and built DJ equipment. This will be separate from the Jockey Box. We will talk.
