I just saw this post on the Homebrew Talk Forums about etching your carboys and thought it was awesome. I think I might be doing something similar on my carboys.

I currently use a wax pencil that I bought at Home Depot for marking on Tiles.

But I just cleaned up a chip on a carboy for Scott using my Dremil. It very little material away, but did a great job on taking the sharp edges off. I was thinking of making marks on a carboy with my Dremil and see how it works out.

That is a pretty cool Idea. I am always very hesitant about doing anything to my carboy that would impact the structural integraty. Glass shards and my pink flesh don't work so well.

I currently use a broad sharpie to mark my carboys. Have to reapply every so often but works fine.
