I picked up a chest freezer from a guy in Wildomar yesterday. $50. I gotta get it upstairs this weekend and plugged in with the Ranco controller I order from B3. I am going to use it for fermenting for now, since I broke my fermentation fridge  , and build a bar around it later and use it as a kegerator.

I'm excited.

The ranco controller works great. I have 3 of them now. One for the kegerator, and 2 for the fermenter freezer.

I get them off of e-bay for about $55 with shipping. Then I hook up an extension cord.

Let me know if you need help.

I figure the analog one will work just fine for the kegerator. I may step up and get the dual stage digital for my ferment fridge, or maybe two of them. I like Jamil's method of using the fridge for the cold and putting a ferment wrap on for the warmth. This should give some really accurate control over temps. We'll see, money is getting tight again we still have not rented our condo.
