Looking locally for specialty ingredients.
Sorry if this posts twice, but my first post is not showing up.
I am looking for some specialty ingredients locally to avoid paying shipping costs. I have a Saison, and a Belgian pale that I hope to brew soon, but need some hard-to-find ingredients. If anyone knows where I might find any or all of these, I'd sure appreciate it.
Wish list:
Jaggery sugar (from the palm, not cane)
Date sugar (for a different recipe altogether)
Indian corriander (not the local stuff in the supermarkets, it has a fruitier flavor characteristic and are shaped like little rugby balls)
Fennugreek seed (I found fennugreek leaves in Baron's, but I'm hoping for the seed. This imparts a maple profile.)
I did pick up a bottle of Coronado Brewing Co's "Saison by the Sea" and it is quite delicious and worth a try if you're looking for a new taste.
thanks again for all the help.
Shaun
