Eric's website has most of his recipes. Search for Stout on his page and you'll be able to check them out.

This one took a 1st at the AFCHBC 08 I believe. If you want to leave out the vanilla/peppercorn it is still really nice.

Jimi won the competition at our club X-mas party with one that was pretty amazing. IIRC, is was a B3 recipe tweaked a little.

Yes, it was a BB&MB recipe and the name of it was "B3". It was the one they said was most like Guinness, but I didn't think that it was anything like Guinness.

The "tweaking" that I did was that I boiled the bitters about twice as long as the recipe called for. Also, during the last 5 minutes of the boil, I added one pound of California honey (from BB&MB). Besides that, I followed the recipe as written.

I used White Labs yeast too.

Ciao,
JIMI

Most people just refer to Beer Beer and More Beer as B3

I like the ideal of putting honey in the beer. May have to try this some time.

Not sure if you've noticed in the short time that I've been involved with TVHA, but I'm not "most people". LOL!!!....

Besides, I wanted to emphasize that the recipe name of "B3" was not confused with the acronym for "Beer Beer & More Beer"....Therefore; I called it BB&MB solely for clarification purposes.

Hey, eff the clarifications, let’s drink some beer and light up the shisha!!!....

I refer to it as "Beer Beer and More Beer, AKA-More Beer, AKA-BB&MB, AKA-B3, AKA The guys that aren't NB."

I try not to refer to them at all in any way shape or form (just in case Jim is reading this)....
