My 1st Partial Mash
Well I finally started steppping up to the plate! I brewed my 1st partial mash recipe. It's an IPA. I used approx.6lbs of mixed grains along with 6lbs of extract. Oh & I also added 5oz of corn sugar. I used my home made mash tun that I made out of an old ice chest. Anythow my SG was 1.075 @ 70deg. Any idea as to what my ABV will be? Had a good ferment this past week. Now I just transfered it to a secondary & added 2oz of Cascades to dry hop. Hopefully hoppy!
Hey Eric,
Thanks for the clarification! I thought it was gonna be around 7%. Hopefully it's good!

Super dude, The easiest way of knowing approximalty how much alcohol it is buy doing a simple decimal shift of the O.G number. If it was 1.075 simply move the decimal over and cut the two leading digits to get 7.5% approximately. You have to know the F.G to really calculate it but this will get you close.
