I had just finished chilling the wort on my second batch of beer today (Saison de Cristo) the first was a tripel. Anyway, as I was moving my cool wort into my office for fermenting, the house started shaking. "An Earthquake, oh crap!" I had to rush back out to the garage to get the lid for my fermentor, just in case parts might fall from the ceiling and ruin the wort. Yes, the beer survived, at risk of life and limb. Gotta keep your priorities straight in times of natural disaster.
