The brew day went pretty good. All 3 beers are fermenting as of this morning. The Red Ale was fermenting before I was done cleaning up. Yeast starters are a must. I had a couple of boil overs, due to not paying enough attention. Burners over 100K BTU is a waste as far as I am concerned.

The day was warm, but beautiful day for brewing.

People that stopped by: Scott (New Member), Jeff (Friend from San Diego), and Dale (another friend)

Scott is new to the club. I met him at the Beer Wars movie. He brought over a Belgian Tripple that I was going to help him Keg. When he got to my house, I put it in my fermenting freezer to help it settle out. Even at almost 33 degrees, I noticed that it was fermenting again from the move. So I pulled it out, cleaned the airlock. It continued to ferment and went through the airlock a second time, Scott had it ferment over. It looks like it is finished again, but I need to clean the airlock and add new water.

I am going for a 11% Barley Wine.

I hit all my targets within a couple of points.
Red Ale - 1050
Barley Wine - 1114
IPA - 1080 (actually, this one is over)
